I can relate to this (and I think most of us do). It’s so difficult to establish limits, especially when you’re creating content. 🫠 The things I do to be better with my relationship with social media is:

1. Not entering social media until 12 p.m. and not after 8:30 p.m. that’s helping me to stay more calm and focus on other stuff.

2. Use timers (just like you used to do but every day) just 15 min to post this and then I will do another thing.

3. Having other apps that I enjoy using instead of social media like sudoku or this app now. ✨

4. Having a book beside my phone almost all day, so I can remember that instead of scrolling I could just read.

5. Using this app called “Forest” to block apps for a while with timers.

I really hope that you can find a balance with all of these and I hope my tips can be helpful. ✨

Wishing we can all find the balance with social media. 🦋

Ahh these are super helpful! For #1, do you just have strong willpower? I just cave in to whatever rules I make most of the time..

The experts say that is less hard when you replace one habit with another one, so maybe you can try that. 💙

Also I forgot, something I think really helps is turning off all the notifications from social media. That’s a very important point. ✨

And yes! Muting notifications really helps. My problem here is that our main mode of communication at work is FB messenger so muting notifications is a no-no.

Once I open a message (like work group chat), I couldn't help but open all the other messages coz I hate seeing highlighted names. 🥴 (OCPD sucks!)

I've read that advice from Darren Hardy's "The Compound Effect". It's hard to leave your habits, so you just gotta create a new one as a replacement. Trying, and still struggling...

Why am I so triggered by this post? 😩

I hate to admit this — but... social media is a trap and I've been it's prisoner for too long now!

maybe we should get a bunch of people and all bail out together 👀

I think the most effective way to stop this witchcraft is to just uninstall every single app we have and live in the mountains. 😅

Seriously... I need an accountability buddy. Someone who's gonna tell me I'm overusing my phone again the wrong way. Someone who's gonna tell me to stop or I'll face the consequences. 🙃

Just recently, I'm becoming more and more drawn to watching livestream of sellers. And guess what? It's the worst thing I've ever started doing coz it doesn't only cost me my time and sleep. It costs me my hard-earned money too 😭 At times, I'd tell myself I'm just gonna watch... I'm not gonna buy.

It's all fun and games until I see something good and I couldn't help but buy it.

For how many times had I convinced myself that it's gonna be the last item...THE LAST ITEM!!! I'M GONNA UNINSTALL THIS APP AFTER RECEIVING IT.

But before the freakin' item arrives, you bet.... I've already placed another order. 😭

I NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE MY PHONE AWAY FROM ME!!! (just not a thief)
